Come Downtown Tonight for Hero ArtWalk!

Join us for a night of heroic proportions as we fill downtown Abilene with live performances and attractions your whole family will love. And heroes don’t always come with secret identities and capes; we’re honoring the everyday heroes in our own community, too. Come help us say THANK YOU to the men and women of Dyess Air Force Base and the Abilene Police and Fire Departments, and learn ways that you, too, can be a hero! Downtown Association Meeting TOMORROW Morn!

Look forward to seeing the ADA membership, new members, guests, AND anyone ELSE interested in joining and helping ‘re-grow’ Downtown Abilene at our Abilene Downtown Association Meeting! We will be meeting after a summer month’s hiatus (due to so many taking vacations!), and getting back into gear…so come join us as we GET EXCITED and talk about City Sidewalks, our BRAND NEW Marketing Committee, and MORE!

We will meet at 8:30 am at Bogie’s Restaurant in Downtown Abilene (thanks Philip Ratliff for once again sharing your amazing restaurant with us for this meeting)! SO much is going in downtown, and SO much more is ahead! So do NOT miss the excitement! We plan our meetings at the start of the day, so you can get on with the rest of your day a short hour later! Yeah! Come for a visit and see what we are all about! B!G Day Bike Ride

Join the executive director of the Abilene Preservation League for a leisurely 3.5 mile bike ride around downtown during B!G Day Downtown, Saturday, April 9th beginning at 10:30 am. We’ll stop at several historical sites, and take a tour through Rosetyme, the J.D. Magee home on North 3rd. Another B!G DAY event: The Fire Escape

The Fire Escape 10am-3pm (501 Hickory Street)  325-672-3473  Cooking demos and offering free samples in their outdoor kitchen on the front patio.  They will have plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture for visitors to relax in.
