Parking: The Association continues to work with the City to resolve parking issues.

Public Restrooms: Worked with the City of Abilene, to facilitate public restrooms,
located at N. 2nd and Cedar Streets.

B!G Day Downtown

Held annually. This event’s mission is to:
1. Encourage more “traffic” in downtown

2. Bring downtown alive on Saturday
3. Find sources of funding to promote downtown

City Sidewalks
Our oldest annual event (over 25 years) City Sidewalks is planned and hosted by the
Downtown Association. Thousands of people shop and line the streets for the
FOX West Texas Christmas Lights Parade, the community tree lighting and holiday music.

ArtWalk
Created and hosted by The Center for Contemporary Arts. ArtWalk, an evening of
art and entertainment, is held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. The
association is proud to sponsor and promote ArtWalk.

The association meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at The Center for Contemporary Arts.

These meetings offer you a chance to promote your business and network with others business leaders.
